About this game & how to play

About

Minesweeper is the classic puzzle where you read number hints to clear every safe cell without hitting a mine. Dogepy Minesweeper is free and online with five difficulty levels from 8×8 to 16×16.

The first click is always safe, and flagging plus auto-opening empty areas make it easy for beginners.

How to play

  1. Tap a cell to open it. Empty cells (0) open their whole area.
  2. Right-click on desktop, or switch to 'Flag' mode on mobile, to place flags.
  3. Pick difficulty 1–5 at the top (bigger board, more mines).

Rules

  • Numbers show how many mines are in the 8 surrounding cells.
  • Open all non-mine cells to win; open a mine and you lose.
  • The first click is always safe.
  • Flag cells you suspect are mines.
